European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) is an international marriage of moguls: Daimler Aerospace (DASA, Germany), Aerospatiale Matra (France), and Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA (CASA, Spain). The group is Europe's largest supplier of aerospace, defense and related services. On the global stage it rivals Boeing. EADS' largest holding is Airbus; it ranks as the world's leading maker of large commercial aircraft, and with Airbus Military, manufactures tankers, and transport and mission aircraft. Other operations launch Eurocopter's helicopters, Astrium's satellites, Arianespace's commercial satellite launchers, and Defense & Security's business and military defense jets.
