Oil and gas producers turn to Basic Energy Services for the fundamentals. The company provides well site services with its fleet of well-servicing rigs (at more than 410, the third-largest in the US behind Key Energy Services and Nabors Industries), 820 fluid service trucks, and related equipment. These services include acidizing, cementing, fluid handling, fracturing, well construction, well maintenance, and workover. Basic Energy Services serves about 2,000 producers operating in Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. It also has a contract drilling operation. Investment firm DLJ Merchant Banking Partners III, L.P., owns 44.4% of the company.
