One of Spain's largest brewers, Mahou-San Miguel produces its San Miguel, Especial, and Clįsica beers, among other brands, from its Madrid brewery. Mahou-San Miguel also brews Eco, which the company touts as an environmentally friendly brew, as well as non-alcoholic brands. The families of chairman Juan Gervas and vice chairman Jose Antonio Herraiz Mahou each own about a third of the company. Grupo Mahou-San Miguel was founded in 1890. Strengthening its market position, the company acquired Spanish brewer Cervezas Alhambra.
