A. B. Boyd Company puts a little zip in rubber manufacturing. Originally a zipper distributor, the company has evolved to operate as Boyd Corporation and manufacture rubber, plastic, and fiber products that offer environmental sealing and energy efficient solutions. Among many, the custom designed and manufactured products meet requirements for acoustic, thermal, shock, and shielding systems. Boyd uses a range of specialized materials from silicone to Mylar, polypropylene, copper and aluminum foils, and coated fabrics to deliver a low-cost, engineered lineup. Boyd caters to OEMs in aerospace, electronics, medical, telecommunications, and transportation. It is held by Stonebridge Partners Management.
