Ingersoll-Rand's heavy machinery helped carve the faces of Mount Rushmore, but more recently the company is raising its profile as a market-leading commercial products manufacturer. Its stable of commercial and industrial brands includes Club Car golf carts, Hussmann refrigeration equipment, Schlage security locks, Thermo King temperature control equipment, and Trane air conditioning systems and services. Pumps, tools, air compressors, and material handling equipment are also made under the Ingersoll-Rand brand. The company sells its products both directly and through distributors to customers in about 200 countries around the world. It has manufacturing plants in the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
