When it comes to diversification, Eaton favors an all-you-can-eat approach. The manufacturer has made dozens of acquisitions (as well as divestitures) over the past few years. The company's product lines include electrical power distribution and control equipment, hydraulic products for use in mobile and industrial applications, aerospace propulsion systems, and truck safety systems. It is also one of the world's largest manufacturers of grips for golf clubs. Eaton gets more than half of its sales outside the US.
