Its Professional Instrumentation segment produces environmental and electronic testing technology; Industrial Technologies makes motion control equipment and devices that read bar codes; Medical Technologies makes dental products and medical instrumentation devices; and Danaher's Tools and Components manufactures hand and automotive specialty tools and accessories under brand names like Sears' Craftsman. The two Rales brothers, Steven (board chairman) and Mitchell (executive committee chairman), together own approximately 20% of the company.
