On February 21, 2013, Richard D. Kukla, Senior Vice President and Controller of Northern Trust Corporation (the "Corporation"), indicated his intention to retire in mid-2013. Mr. Kukla joined Northern Trust in 1987 as Deputy Controller and has served as chief accounting officer of the Corporation since May 2012, when he became Controller.
