Fleet Status
On February 21, 2013, Hercules Offshore, Inc. (the "Company") is posting on its
website at www.herculesoffshore.com a report entitled "Hercules Offshore Fleet
Status Report" (the "Fleet Status Report"). The Fleet Status Report includes the
Hercules Offshore Rig Fleet Status (as of February 21, 2013), which contains
information for each of the Company's drilling rigs, including contract dayrate
and duration. The Fleet Status Report also includes the Hercules Offshore
Liftboat Fleet Status Report, which contains information by liftboat class for
January 2013, including revenue per day and operating days. The Fleet Status

Item 8.01 Other Events
On February 21, 2013, we issued a press release announcing the execution of an
agreement to acquire the offshore drilling rig, Ben Avon, from a subsidiary of
KCA Deutag. The acquisition is subject to completion of certain closing
conditions and has a purchase price of $55 million in cash. We expect the
acquisition to close in late March 2013.
We announced in the same press release that we entered into a Letter of
Agreement with Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited for a three-year rig commitment
for the use of the Ben Avon. The Company expects to generate total revenue of
approximately $119 million over this three-year period under the contract. We
expect the rig to commence work under the contract as early as May 2013.
