Attached as Exhibit 99.1, and incorporated herein by reference, is a copy of the press release of Panera Bread Company (the "Company") dated February 5, 2013 announcing the Company's financial results for the fiscal fourth quarter and fiscal year ended December 25, 2012 and describing the Company's earnings targets for the first quarter and full year of fiscal 2013.

Eastern Time on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 to discuss the Company's financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of fiscal 2012, earnings targets and business outlook for the first quarter and full year of fiscal 2013, and preliminary comparable net bakery-cafe sales results for the first 41 days of the first quarter of fiscal 2013.
