(b) Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Elections of Directors
On January 30, 2013, Mark Kessel, a member of the Board of Directors of Dynavax
Technologies Corporation (the "Company"), informed the Company that he had
decided not to stand for re-election at the 2013 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
There are no disagreements between the Company and Mr. Kessel, who will remain
as a member of the Board of Directors through the completion of his current
term.
