Item 8.01 Other Events.
On February 1, 2013, Accenture plc ("Accenture") issued a press release announcing that chief executive officer Pierre Nanterme has assumed the additional position of chairman of the Board of Directors (the "Board") of Accenture, effective February 1, 2013. He succeeds William D. Green, who stepped down as chairman of the Board and retired from Accenture, effective February 1, 2013. Accenture previously announced these planned changes in a press release issued on October 22, 2012.
A copy of the press release announcing that Mr. Nanterme has assumed the additional position of chairman is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.
