On January 25, 2013, Casella Waste Systems, Inc. (the "Company") announced that
Christopher Heald, age 48, was appointed Vice President of Finance and Chief
Accounting Officer of the Company, effective January 23, 2013. Mr. Heald has
served as the Company's Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis since July
2010, and he served as the Company's Accounting Manager from 2002 to July 2010.
