On January 15, 2013, John V. Giovenco notified Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. (the "Company") that he retired from the Company's Board of Directors effective on January 15, 2013.

On January 18, 2013, the Company issued a press release announcing Mr. Giovenco's retirement from the Board of Directors of the Company. A copy of this press release is being furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
