Item 8.01 Other Events.

On December 20, 2012, Trovagene, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing the granting of a worldwide, non-exclusive license to incorporate nucleophosmin protein, NPM1, into research and clinical testing services for acute myelogenous leukemia to Genoptix, Inc. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
