On December 13, 2012, M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors declared an accelerated cash dividend of $1.00 per share. This dividend is in lieu of and accelerates the payment of all regular quarterly dividends that the Company might otherwise have paid in calendar year 2013. The accelerated dividend is payable on December 28, 2012 to shareholders of record on December 24, 2012.
