Item 8.01. Other Events.

On December 5, 2012, AmerisourceBergen Corporation (the "Registrant") announced that Peyton R. Howell has been appointed Senior Vice President, AmerisourceBergen Corporation and President, Global Sourcing and Manufacturer Relations, effective immediately. Howell was most recently Senior Vice President, Business Development, AmerisourceBergen Corporation and President of AmerisourceBergen Consulting Services, a business unit of the Registrant. Ms. Howell was also a founder and President of Lash Group, which became part of the Registrant in 1998.

The news release issued on December 5, 2012 is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
