Item 8.01. Other Events.

On November 30, 2012, CapLease, Inc. issued a press release announcing the sale of 5,500,000 shares of its common stock through the "at the market offering" program with Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. The shares were sold for a price of $4.65 per share. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
