On November 26, 2012, Jonathan S. Leff, a member of the board of directors of
InterMune, Inc. ("InterMune"), informed InterMune of his intention to resign
from such position, effective November 26, 2012. Mr. Leff has indicated that he
plans to depart Warburg Pincus LLC, where he currently serves as Managing
Director, to join another investment firm in January 2013.
