Item 8.01 Other Events

On November 19, 2012, the Board of Directors (the "Board") of Lancaster Colony Corporation (the "Corporation") declared a one-time special dividend of $5.00 per share, payable December 28, 2012 to shareholders of record as of December 10, 2012. This special dividend is in addition to the $0.38 per share quarterly dividend declared by the Board on November 19, 2012 and payable December 28, 2012 to shareholders of record as of December 10, 2012. On November 19, 2012, the Corporation issued a press release announcing this special dividend. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
