On October 18, 2012, Monarch Financial Holdings, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing the declaration of a 6 for 5 common stock split and a quarterly common stock dividend. The 6 for 5 stock split is payable on December 7, 2012 to shareholders of record on November 9, 2012. The quarterly common stock dividend is payable on November 30, 2012 to common shareholders of record on November 9, 2012. A copy of the Company's press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is hereby incorporated herein by reference.
