On October 15, 2012, BioDelivery Sciences International, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing the commercial launch of the Company's product, BREAKYL (fentanyl buccal film) in the European Union, which triggered a final milestone payment of $2.5 million from Meda AB, the Company's commercial partner for BREAKYL in the European Union. The Company will also receive royalty on net sales of BREAKYL in the European Union. A copy of such press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.
