(b) Sprint Nextel Corporation (the "Company") is filing this amendment to the
Current Report on Form 8-K filed on August 8, 2012, which reported that Keith O.
Cowan, President, Strategic Planning and Corporate Initiatives would be leaving
the Company effective September 30, 2012. Given Mr. Cowan's successor, Michael
Schwartz, who is currently employed at Telesat Canada, cannot join the Company
until January 2, 2013, on September 30, 2012, the Company's Chief Executive
Officer decided that Mr. Cowan should remain with the Company until January 2,
2013. Mr. Schwartz's title will be Senior Vice President, Corporate and Business
Development.
