As discussed in Item 8.01, on October 1, 2012, MPG Office Trust, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that a trustee sale was held on October 1, 2012 with respect to Two California Plaza.

The information being furnished pursuant to Item 7.01 shall not be deemed "filed" for any purpose, including for the purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the "Exchange Act"), or otherwise subject to the liabilities of that section. On October 1, 2012, the Company issued a press release announcing that the a trustee sale was held on October 1, 2012 with respect to Two California Plaza, a copy of which is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 herewith.

As a result of the foreclosure, the Company was relieved of the obligation to repay the $470.0 million mortgage loan secured by the property, as well as accrued contractual and default interest on the mortgage loan. In addition, the Company received a general release of claims under the loan documents pursuant to an in-place agreement with the special servicer of the mortgage loan.
