Item 8.01. Other Events.

On September 18, 2012, Digirad Corporation, or the Company, amended its stock buyback program, originally adopted in February 2009, to permit an additional $2 million of its issued and outstanding common shares to be repurchased. As amended, the stock buyback program permits the Company to purchase an aggregate of $4 million of its common stock.
