MBIA Inc. (the "Company") is filing this amendment to the Current Report on Form
8-K filed on June 19, 2012, which reported the election of Maryann Bruce to the
Board of Directors of the Company, effective June 19, 2012. At the time of her
election, no determination had been made regarding committees of the Board on
which Ms. Bruce would serve. On September 13, 2012, the Board of Directors
appointed Ms. Bruce to serve on the Audit and Compensation and Governance
Committees.
