(b) The employment of Stephen R. Miller, the Chief Commercial Officer of BG
Medicine, Inc. (the "Company"), was terminated effective as of September 6,
2012. Mr. Miller will receive the severance pay to which he is entitled under
his previously filed employment agreement. He has also agreed to consult for the
Company on an interim basis following his termination. In related news, the
Company issued a press release on September 11, 2012 announcing that it had
appointed Howard Rosen to the Company as Vice President, Sales and Marketing in
the United States and Thomas Bendix Mortensen as Vice President, Sales and
Marketing in Europe.
