On August 30, 2012, Andrew E. Senyei, M.D., notified Complete Genomics, Inc.
(the "Company") of his resignation, effectively immediately, as a director on
the Company's Board of Directors. Dr. Senyei has stated that his resignation is
not because of a disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the
Company's operations, policies or practices.
