On August 24, 2012, the Chairman of Tellabs, Inc.'s (the Company's) Board of Directors, Mike Birck announced that he will not seek re-election to the Board of Directors at the Company's 2013 Annual Stockholders Meeting. Mr. Birck's decision is not the result of any disagreement with respect to Tellabs operations, policies or practices.
