On August 14, 2012, New Peoples Bankshares, Inc. ("Company") Board of Directors voted to extend the common stock rights offering to existing shareholders from August 15, 2012 to August 31, 2012. The Board of Directors is not contemplating a further extension of the rights offering thereafter.
