Item 8.01. Other Events.

On July 11, 2012, Polypore International, Inc. (the "Company") announced that the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals has denied the Company's appeal of the Federal Trade Commission's ("Commission") Order regarding the Company's acquisition of the Microporous assets in 2008. The Company maintains its position that the Commission committed legal errors in ruling against the Company and now plans to seek further review of this decision, including in the U.S. Supreme Court, if necessary. At this point, it is not possible to predict with certainty the outcome or timing of the process.
