On June 29, 2012, Nevada Power Company d/b/a NV Energy filed its triennial 2013
- 2032 Integrated Resource Plan ("2012 Resource Plan") with the Public Utilities
Commission of Nevada ("PUCN"). The 2012 Resource Plan includes revised cost
estimates for the One Nevada Transmission Line ("ON Line") based on an analysis
of all information available to date, and provides an expected in-service date
of no later than December 31, 2013. The ON Line construction budget has been
revised from approximately $510 million to approximately $552 million before
allowance for funds used during construction. The revised construction budget is
based on current estimates of the most promising mitigation measures identified
to date to address the wind-induced vibration issues that have delayed the
project. The ON Line is under construction in Eastern Nevada and is jointly
owned by NV Energy, Inc.'s operating utilities (which together own 25% of the ON
Line) and Great Basin Transmission South LLC, an affiliate of LS Power (which
owns the remaining 75%). The 2012 Resource Plan is available to the public on
the PUCN's website at http://pucweb1.state.nv.us/PUCN.
