On June 11, 2012, Protalix BioTherapeutics, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it has received a $25 million milestone payment from Pfizer Inc. as part of the companies' global commercial agreement for ELELYSO™ (taliglucerase alfa). The payment was triggered by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval of ELELYSO for the treatment of type 1 Gaucher disease on May 1, 2012. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
