On June 1, 2012, Matthew W. Strobeck, Ph.D. resigned from the Board of Directors (the "Board") of Santarus, Inc. ("Santarus") to pursue other business interests. Mr. Strobeck's decision to resign from the Board did not result from any disagreement with Santarus concerning any matter relating to its operations, policies or practices.
