Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure

On April 26, 2012, Silicon Valley Bank (the "Bank"), the banking subsidiary of SVB Financial Group, announced that it had received a branch banking license from the Financial Services Authority in the United Kingdom. The license will allow the Bank to offer local banking products and services in the U.K., including checking and deposit accounts, cash management services and foreign exchange transactions.

This branch license is a milestone in the Bank's global growth, supporting its strategy to help innovative companies and their investors succeed around the world.

The official opening of the Bank's U.K. branch is expected to take place within the next 6-10 weeks.
