On April 19, 2012, Houston American Energy Corp. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing termination of efforts to test and complete the Tamandua #1 well on the CPO 4 prospect in Colombia, plans relative to drilling the next well on the CPO 4 prospect and confirming that the Securities and Exchange Commission is conducting a formal investigation into the Company. The press release is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
