On October 30, 2009, New Century Bancorp, Inc. (the "Registrant") announced financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009. For the third quarter of 2009, the Registrant reported a net loss of ($369,000), compared to net income of $159,000 for the same period in 2008. Basic and diluted net income
(loss) per share for the third quarter of 2009 was ($0.05), compared to $0.02 for the third quarter of 2008.
