On October 30, 2009, as part of our company succession plan, the Executive Committee of our board of directors, pursuant to delegated authority, voted to promote our current Executive Vice President, Monica G. Noether, to the additional role of Chief Operating Officer. The promotion will be effective November 29, 2009, coinciding with the first day of our new fiscal year. Information about Dr. Noether is incorporated by reference to our definitive proxy statement for our 2009 annual meeting of shareholders which was filed on March 16, 2009.
