On October 29, 2009, OfficeMax Incorporated (the "Company") issued an Earnings Release announcing its earnings for the third quarter of 2009. The earnings release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1. Effective October 27, 2009, the Company's Chief Financial Officer, Bruce Besanko, was also appointed Chief Administrative Officer of the Company. In this additional role, Mr. Besanko will have responsibility for certain human resources and procurement functions.
