Item 1.01. Amendment of Material Definitive Agreement

On October 15, 2009, The First of Long Island Corporation (the "Corporation") and Mark D. Curtis agreed to further amend a Letter Employment Agreement (the "Agreement") dated January 1, 2005. This most recent amendment serves to extend the term of the Agreement to two years, increase the Termination Payment set forth in Section 4(A) of the Agreement from 125% to 200% of Base Annual Salary, and extend the period of continued health insurance coverage set forth in
Section 8.1 of the Agreement from 18 to 24 months.
