On October 19, 2009, Nara Bancorp, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it had commenced an offering of approximately $70 million of its common stock in an underwritten public offering, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. The Company intends to grant the underwriter an option to purchase up to an additional 15% of common stock sold in the offering to cover over-allotments, if any.

The shares will be issued pursuant to a prospectus supplement filed as part of a shelf registration statement previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
