On October 16, 2009, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that for the fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2009, the Company expects to report net earnings per share, before charges associated with restructuring activities, to be significantly higher than previous guidance.
