On October 13, 2009, Lance, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing it has completed the previously announced acquisition of the Stella D'oro brand and select manufacturing equipment and inventory from Stella D'oro Biscuit Co., Inc. Terms of the purchase agreement were not disclosed. A copy of the press release is being furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto. The press release may contain forward looking statements regarding the Company and includes a cautionary statement identifying important factors that could cause actual results to differ materially.
