On October 8, 2009, The Children's Place Retail Stores, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release containing the Company's sales results for the five-week period ended October 3, 2009. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.

On October 8, 2009, the Company announced its plans to automate portions of its e-commerce fulfillment operations in its distribution center located in Fort Payne, Alabama.
