(b) On October 4, 2009, Anthony Taylor, Executive Chairman of Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. ("Montpelier") informed Montpelier that he will retire as Executive Chairman of the Company upon expiration of his service agreement on December 31, 2009. Mr. Taylor will continue to serve Montpelier in the role of Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors effective January 1, 2010.
