Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Applied Micro Circuits Corporation ("the Company") announced that on
September 30, 2009, the Company and Ms. Cynthia Moreland, Vice-President,
General Counsel and Secretary, reached an agreement regarding her employment by
the Company. Ms. Moreland's last day of employment was September 30, 2009. Under
the agreement, Ms. Moreland will receive benefits under the Company's Executive
Severance Benefits Plan. Ms. Moreland will also provide consulting services to
the Company in connection with its proposed monetization of certain intellectual
property for which she will be eligible to receive a fee in the range of $0 to
$200,000.
