In a press release issued on September 29, 2009, Vicon Industries, Inc. announced that Mr. Clifton H.W. Maloney, a member of its Board of Directors, had died suddenly on Friday, September 25, 2009 at the age of 71. Mr. Maloney had served as a Director since May 2004 and also served as a member of each of the Audit, Compensation and Nominating Committees of the Board. A copy of the press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
