Item 1.01. Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.
On September 25, 2009, Symyx Technologies, Inc. ("the Company") entered into a
Third Amendment ("the Third Amendment") to the Credit Agreement, originally
dated September 28, 2007, by and among the Company, Bank of America, N.A., as
Administrative Agent and L/C Issuer, and the other lenders from time to time
party thereto ("the Credit Agreement"). The Third Amendment principally extended
the term of the Credit Agreement through March 1, 2010.
