On September 18, 2009, Nexen Inc. and Mr. Larry Murphy, Executive Vice President, International Oil and Gas, agreed that Mr. Murphy will retire effective December 1, 2009, rather than on October 1, 2009, as previously reported in a Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 26, 2009.
