Item 8.01 Other Events

On September 16, 2009, the Board of Directors of Highbury Financial Inc. ("Highbury") declared a regular cash dividend of $0.05 per share of common stock outstanding and a special cash dividend of $1.50 per share of common stock outstanding. Each dividend will be payable on October 7, 2009 to stockholders of record on October 6, 2009.

A copy of the Press Release issued by Highbury on September 17, 2009 announcing the declaration of the dividends is incorporated by reference herein and attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
